Cemetery Wreaths & Adopt-A-Veteran Fundraiser

Once again, Green Ridge is offering Cemetery Wreaths for this holiday season.  This fundraiser is a great deal - you purchase wreaths directly from the cemetery who then places each wreath, and the cemetery receives a portion of each sell price.

These beautiful 24" wreaths come  with pine cones and a stand for $35.  Upon request, a flag will be included with the wreath for any American military veteran.  We are also continuing our Adopt-A-Veteran wreath program.  Email the cemetery office for details.
There is no order limit, so order as many as you wish.  An ad in the Kenosha News will acknowledge the loved one, the purchaser (unless requesting to remain anonymous) and the war, if any, the veteran served in.

We appreciate your remembrance of loved ones, veterans, and your financial support of Green Ridge Cemetery.

Wildlife Sightings

Wildlife is frequently seen on the cemetery grounds.  These two young deer were seen romping through the cemetery near Sheridan Road.  Foxes, coyotes, squirrels, and many species of birds roam the grounds.  They are a welcome sight in the middle of the city of Kenosha.

Spring Has Sprung in Wisconsin!

Robin's are back, birds are nesting, it must be spring!  This is a great time to join Friends of Green Ridge as we prepare for spring clean up.  Membership is for one year, an individual membership is $25, a family membership is $40.  Contact the office at 262-652-1631 to get a membership form.
Memorial Day is only 11 weeks away and we want Green Ridge to look its best as we honor the men and women of all branches of the military who are buried at Green Ridge.  This is a busy time clearing fallen branches, leaves, and other debris from the cemetery grounds.  If you would like to help with raking, planting flowers, picking up trash, or other clean-up jobs, please give us a call.  We also have other volunteer opportunities including genealogy look-ups, digitizing cemetery records, and other office duties.  We look forward to hearing from you!
